Tattoo Aftercare in Budva
Begin with your own instructions
Before leaving the studio, make sure you understand the care instructions for your tattoo and the dressing used. Ask GG for a written copy, recommended products and a contact for follow-up questions. Dressing types and individual needs differ.
Dressing and gentle cleaning
Wash your hands before touching the area. Follow the instructions for your particular dressing; contact the studio if it leaks or becomes loose. Clean gently, rinse and pat dry without rubbing. Avoid picking or scratching flaking skin. Use aftercare products as directed rather than adding new treatments on your own.
Swimming and your Budva holiday
Avoid swimming, soaking and sauna until the tattoo has fully healed. Plan your beach activities around that healing period and discuss your itinerary before the appointment. A waterproof dressing does not make a fresh tattoo ready for swimming.
Sun protection
Keep a healing tattoo out of direct sunlight and use suitable clothing for protection. Once fully healed, protect tattooed skin from UV exposure. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
When to seek medical advice
Contact a healthcare professional promptly for increasing pain, spreading redness, unusual discharge or other signs of infection. Persistent fever or red streaks spreading from the area need urgent medical attention. Tell the studio as well, but do not rely on a message to the artist as a substitute for medical care.
A guide to keep with you
These general points draw on the patient resources linked below. They do not replace individual medical advice or the specific instructions supplied for your dressing. Contact GG if you need another copy of your studio aftercare information.
